Patrick Neville saddles another interesting raiding party as he looks to uphold his impressive record at Perth this season.
The North Yorkshire-based Irishman is operating at a 36 per-cent course strike-rate and loves his trips to Britain’s most northerly outpost.
“We’ve had a good year already and our horses always seems to do well up there,” he said. “The owners enjoy themselves too so everybody is happy.
Neville teams up with Brian Hughes as The Last Cloud goes for a course and distance hat-trick in the Auto Services Perth Commercials Handicap Hurdle.
“He won his maiden nicely and then did the job in style on his first handicap last time,” he added of a horse who is the last foal of his late sire Cloudings. “He’s gone up a few pounds but you’d have to be hopeful of another big run.”
Up against The Last Cloud are previous course and distance winners Break Point and Just Dottie trained respectively by Olly Murphy and Mike Smith.
Neville is double-handed with Frisby and Byron Hill in the Auto Services Perth Supporting Dundee Bairns Novices’ Limited Handicap Hurdle with Myfavouritesister his final runner of the day in the ASP Fiat And Vauxhall Commercial Aftersales Handicap Hurdle.
