It is often the little things that are most needed when you visit a new venue!
Access and Assistance
We pride ourselves on all of our guests experiencing the same great day out or event. We have endeavoured where possible to provide access for wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
All of our restaurants have full wheelchair access, and lifts where necessary, and we have a number of raised wheelchair platforms around the track and Parade Ring for easy viewing.
Guide Dogs are always welcome and we are happy to provide a bowl of water for your hard working companion throughout the day in the summer months.
Upon request we can produce our brochures in large print PDFs.
Please do not hesitate to email firstname.lastname@example.org should you have any additional needs that we can assist with.
We have two enclosures at Perth Racecourse, the Grandstand Enclosure and the Picnic Enclosure. The Grandstand Enclosure is the larger of the two enclosures and includes all the main raceday essentials from independent bookmakers, customer toilets, bars, Cafe 1613 for a bite to eat. Plus you can view the runners and riders before each race in the Parade Ring and watch the placed horses and jockeys return to the Winner's Ring for the presentation after each race.
The Picnic Enclosure is a favourite for families! Within this enclosure you are permitted to bring in your own food and drink (please no alcohol) to enjoy whilst watching the action from your picnic bench. You may also bring in your own picnic furniture! We have two types of tickets available in the Picnic Enclosure. One is on foot (Picnic Ticket) and the other is by car (Park & Picnic)!
We offer varying ticket types for each enclosure so please read thoroughly the details of the ticket type before purchase.
Track Crossing Policy
Picnic Enclosure patrons are not permitted to cross the track in to the Grandstand Enclosure and vice versa.
This policy is in place to help protect track conditions and ensure the safety and enjoyment of racegoers. The steady rise in crowd numbers in recent years has in turn increased the risk of damage to the track with much higher volumes of racegoers crossing between races year on year. Therefore, this policy helps us maintain a safe level of track condition for both horse and jockey. Further, we are bound by our Sports Ground Safety Certificate and so this policy, along with e-ticketing data capture, allows us to more accurately monitor our actual crowd numbers in line with venue capacities.
There are a number of toilets dotted around the racecourse within the two Enclosures.
