The opening day of The AK Bets Perth Festival will feature sporting highlights on and off the track. Totally an impressive £300,000 of prize money on offer across the 3 days, this is set to be the highest competitive Festival for years!
As part of a revitalised format designed to enhance the experience for both jockeys and spectators, the best races of the Festival will take place on the opening day of the season. Continuing from a successful tweak to the programme a few years back, the 2024 Perth Festival, will again be ‘front loaded'. This will ensure that the first hooves on the fresh Spring ground are competing on the best quality racing surface.
The highest prize pot day of the 3-day Festival and undoubtedly the most competitive racing. The Fair Maid of Perth Mares' Listed race, worth a sumptuous £32,500 will be the star of the card on Wednesday, and one that is set to attract some of the finest horses and jockeys in the country.
Day two will be brining much the same exciting action on the track as horse and jockey chase down £90,000 worth of prize money. The Thursday tends to be a quieter day for racegoers so a great chance to explore the offerings, such as a hot sausage roll in Cafe 1613, or a portion of fish & chips at Paddock & Chips.
The final day of the 3-day Perth Festival and it is the most sociable day of the lot. Why not take the day off work and come along to enjoy the racing festivities, after all, it is Saturday the next day!
A spectacular 7 race card, followed by a live performance from up-and-coming Dundee band, millhouse collective. The band will be playing after the last race on Friday for 1 hour in The Barn.
