Get ready - the 2026 season is under starters’ orders at Perth Racecourse with the return of our spectacular three-day opening Festival.
At the historic Old Scone course, the Perth Festival attracts leading trainers and jockeys from across the UK and Ireland, delivering elite National Hunt racing alongside an electric social atmosphere.
With £330,500 in total prize money across the three days, this is jump racing at its most competitive and its most enjoyable.

With over £146,000 in prize money on offer, Wednesday traditionally features the highest-quality contests of the meeting. The freshest spring turf welcomes some of the most exciting novice and established talent in training.

Thursday is all about Scottish tradition with a modern twist, it’s Tweed & Tartan Day at the Perth Festival!
Bring your finest tweed and tartans and embrace the classic Scottish raceday style. Whether you’re here with friends, family, or colleagues, dress to impress and make the most of this colourful, social celebration and bring your flats so you're ready for the after racing ceilidh in The Barn!
On-track racing remains exciting with over a £100,000 prize fund, while off-track the atmosphere is just as lively. Between races, enjoy the Festival’s popular food and drink offerings at Café 1613 and Paddock & Chips, perfect for a midweek treat or a leisurely catch-up with friends.

The Bowen brothers took centre stage at Perth on Thursday when they produced a dead-heat for the second time in their careers. With Sean aboard American Mike and James riding Statuario, they were inseparable as the flashed across the line in the Join Racing TV Now Handicap Chase. Sean said: “We also dead-heated at Cheltenham in December, 2024 in a hurdle race and I might have won this one if James hadn’t knocked my whip out of my hand!”

No Drama This End got his career back on track on the opening day in £45,000 British EBF Gold Castle ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle. The 8/11 favourite stayed on well to beat Tormund Giantsbane by three and a half lengths to supply jockey harry Cobden with his 100th winner of the season.
