Perth Racecourse is all set to host the much-anticipated Horizon Parking Summer Raceday, Thursday, 3 July, with strong demand and growth marking a hugely positive start to the July double bill which also includes Family Day on Sunday 13.
Now in its fifth consecutive year of sponsorship, Horizon Parking continues to support one of the course’s busiest mid-week fixtures. Hospitality and restaurant bookings are sold out, and advance ticket sales are 5% ahead of 2024, with on the day Grandstand still available.
Matthew Taylor, Racing Director at Perth Racecourse commented, “The fact that all hospitality options are sold out weeks in advance is a fantastic indicator of the appetite for live racing and social experiences in Perthshire.
“Six races, with an average of 10 runners in each is a great position to be in at this time of year, and it's really encouraging to see so many make the long trip up from South England and Wales. In particular, we’re pleased to be welcoming Robbie Llewellyn with his first runner at Perth, No But I Will.”
Garde Des Champs, trained just down the M90 by Lucinda Russell, is being aimed at the feature race at Perth on Thursday after he was third in the corresponding event twelve months ago.
“Surely it be won’t be long until he breaks his duck over fences as he was only pipped by a short-head at Kelso in the spring,” said Lucinda. “He’s been running so well and seems to be effective at two or two and a half miles.”
While hospitality suites and dining packages are fully booked, general admission tickets remain available from just £12, offering an affordable and exciting day out for locals and visitors alike.
Alongside the racing action, guests can expect vibrant bars, food vendors, and outdoor viewing areas perfect for soaking up the midsummer atmosphere.
Thursday also serves as a warm-up to Perth Racecourse’s Family Raceday on Sunday, 13 July, making it a key fixture in the venue’s community summer offering.

Perth Racecourse welcomed a sell-out crowd of 7,500 racegoers for a spectacular Edinburgh Gin Ladies Day on Thursday, delivering one of the most successful and vibrant fixtures in the racecourse calendar to date.
